I love watching this squirrel play in my backyard, I am actually thinking of putting the old ferret furniture outside as they may like it. It was own by my weasel back then, and has been kept in the attic after he passaway. How hard is it to take good care of American Red Squirrel?

In my opinion squirrels make lousy pets. Obviously, if a squirrel has a medical issue that prevents it from being released folks do keep them. But beware, Squirrels chew everything. They will chew up furniture, door frames, window frames, drywall, computer keyboards, remote controls...the list is endless.

You’re much better off just watching them in your yard.

A piece of ferret furniture is not ideal then, thanks for the heads up. LOL, I think I should just enjoy seeing them play freely outside. A toddler is already enough in creating a huge mess in the house.
