    Default Another one—sigh

He’s an adult. He has orange teeth. He was found rolling around in the middle of a road. ****ing people COULD slow down but nooooooooooooooo—gotta go 15 miles over the speed limit cause might miss the start of a “game”. Finder took him to
Wellesley Animal Hospital and they called me. His eye is badly damaged but improving. AND his left arm doesn’t seem to work like it should. He could use some TSB prayers fer sure.

Think prednisone could help? He can hold a syringe with his left hand but when he’s slapping or moving around (not much of that), it just hangs. His hand works—arm not so much. Eye looks better this morning. He does NOT like having ointment in that eye.

I'd think it would be worth a try, he most likely got bounced off a tire.

Even a poor car hit guy has a few armages in him. He needs a name. I’ve been thinking maybe “Peter”. He could use a saint right now and St. Pete has some serious “cred” with the big guy.

I’ll holler. I need to weigh him. There’s paperwork from the vet but someone brought him and I can’t find it.

Peter is still holding on. He’s on prednisone and Baytril. His eye looks awfule but the eyeball looks to be intact and overall, he’s grumpier and today he refused mush in favor of a block. His head is still really swollen (I’ll get pix tonight). I have no idea what’s in store for this little man but he has the winter to heal. I’ll keep everybody posted.

My darling Scooter, beloved Hami, sweet gentle Simon... YOU are the ones who brought that magic in my life. You've changed the way I see all things around me now and, because of you, I want to be a better person. This is not goodbye, my sweethearts. You be at peace, your work here on earth is done... now you are finally, truly free. Until we meet at the Bridge again, please remember that I will always love you.

He groomed for a few seconds tonight. Such a normal squirrley thing. I didn’t catch that but did get him moving a little and movement is GOOD. Lots better than laying motionless tucked into a tight ball.
