    Default Great to be here

I have searched the internet nonstop for
information about squirrels, and I'm so happy I found TSB. I've just discovered the acorns my son and myself search for are poisonous! My goodness, I'm so thankful to have found this group. My baby is close to 4 months now. His name is Squirrel, though it was different in the beginning, he is Squirrel now. A tree cutter bought him to me inside his hard hat sleeping. His tree was cut down earlier in the day. He was fairly grown up when he came to live with us because the next day he opened his little eyes. Squirrel adds to my family of: two sons, one daughter, one dog, three outdoor cats, one turtle, one crested gecko

Acorns themselves are not poisonous to squirrels. They eat them all the time in the wild. Fallen, older acorns can develop mold inside that can be toxic to squirrels. Squirrels in the wild can pick and choose which ones are good or not. Captive squirrels are limited to what we give them. If you can cut small branches off an oak tree with the acorns still attached chances are very good that the acorns are not moldy. 😀

Oh my goodness I'm not sure what I button that I hit because I'm on my phone, plus I can't see the small screen, but it wasn't on purpose. Thanks for the link and any advice in the future. ❤
