Vitacost does carry the all organic ethanol base version of MTS by Wild Harvest that is organic.

Again, if it were me I would get both this and the dry extract also from Vitacost as a back up. The doses are near identical when reduced.

Why the alcohol base is so important to have for MTS, is for reason it is absorbed poorly in the body with water alone.

The organic alcohol base in the MTS extract from "Wild Harvest of Oregon", supports the active compound getting to the target, the liver.

The dry extract can be given with egg yolk that contains choline, which as noted in this article supports the uptake of the MTS into the body, yet the organic ethanol is quicker. Giving the liquid or dry every other day to PYC every other day to it, is recommended, save in case of an emergency due to alfatoxin exposure. With the fungus issues from flooding you have had seasonally, both of these extracts are lifelines for the squirrels you care for indoors.

Not sure. Do you know what was written on the outside of the pill?

Rosie, is this a bright yellow foil top covering a silver foil back that has the pill indent in it? I believe I gave you some 625mg clav.

An individual foil sealed tablet is probably OK to use. My tablets are always white to pale yellow inside. Brown is bad. Light tan is probably OK.

I believe I sent these to stosh a while back.
    The expiration date is 3/2016
Rosie, did the foil on your tablet look like this below?
(Sorry these are the only 2 I have left, so you
can't see the foil too good)

I cut one of them open and it is a very light beige
on the inside, almost white, is that correct? (the picture makes the inside look a little bit darker than it actually is)

    Yes this can be frozen.
I know you hate to leave when Luna is not feeling well,
but try to have a great time with Mom anyway.
    Safe travels.

I am not 100% sure that mixing antibiotic into food and freezing/thawing is ideal? I did find this article that suggests it might be ok but they are freezing at -20 C.

Might to better freeze the boo balls now, thaw and then add the antibiotic into the ball when they are used? But if you have already mixed and frozen them than I would try it, it would certainly be easier this way. Maybe turn the freezer temp down to as cold as you can?

Would it be better for Rosie to just put these in the refrig,
    (still with the antibiotic added?)
Rosie, how long are you going to be out of town?
If thawing is the concern, I know that some squirrels eat these
frozen. (But they still will eventually thaw even if Luna eats them frozen. )
Rosie does Luna like these frozen or at room temp/unfrozen?

I just don't know? I would just keep meds in fridge and add a dose to the ball once defrosted? But adding before hand whether frozen or refrigorated might work too, I just can't say for sure.

Need info on various melons { and papaya}.... possible health issues.

It is melon time here and our babies are crazy about some of them.... various ones we give are:

    watermelon

    Canary melon - they LOVE

honeydew - some really like others love it

    cantaloup - they like

including papaya --- supposed to be good for digestion and tummy problems but is that also true for squirrels ? ?

Other than some thin slices of zuc and pipion squash they have not had much in the way of veggies or greens
    lately.

I tried to look up the melon's online but some did not have the info I was looking for.... oxalates, etc.

    Thanks
