    Default Avocado

How much avocado is too much? Benny gets 1 inch by 0.5 inch pieces twice per day.

Avocado is a fruit that is high in good plant fat, magnesium, and phosphorus.

Feeding a diversity of fruits by alternating choices in the daily menu is needful.

Recommend feeding avocado no more than once every 3 to 4 days at:

(1/4 Tsp.) for the Southern (ssp.) of E. Gray Squirrel

(1/2 Tsp.) for the Mid-western (ssps.) of the Eastern Fox Squirrel, and for the Northern (ssp.) of the E. Gray squirrel

(3/4) Tsp. for the larger Eastern and Gulf coast E. Fox squirrel (ssp.).

  3. 4 TSBers pass along the fuzzy thanks to Diggie's Friend:

Thank you! So he gets too much. ...poor benny isn't going to be happy. To be honest, I've never offered it to my squirrels before this year. I read posts about squirrels enjoying it and offered it. Now, if he'd only eat his kale....

Consider including about (1/2 Tsp.) of one of these choices of leafy greens or vegetables for northern gray ssp. and Mid-western E. Fox squirrel ssp.. in the daily.

Feed 1 1/2 Tsp. (1/2 Tbsp.) baked organic butternut, or acorn squash daily.

Maybe try chopping up your kale very small and mixing it into the Avacodo
