Cool In search of sibling in Tampa

    Hi!
I have a little guy who is about 7 weeks old and really needs a sibling. I know this is a reverse request, but oddly I’ve not been able to find anyone with another Singleton. They will be overwintered and very well cared for, I promise! My Chester is lonely. If there’s another lonely only nearby I will gladly take him/ her. Thanks!

That isn’t in my current skill set, unfortunately.
But I’m good at following directions and may actually have some of the supplies.
I’m willing to try. There is also a local vet who treats squirrels.

Sorry, I did not give much information. Thanks for the reply. There is a baby in Tampa that was in trouble and needed some sub q. We did find somebody.

I’m glad you found a good home for the baby.
Just for future reference, and I would never try w/o guidance, but—- I have a large supply of sterile saline and diabetic sized needles. Would those be useful?
I’m also happy to give away pre-filled sterile saline syringes— I have more than we’ll ever be able to use.

I also have an extra 1 liter IV bag of saline every month or so if there is a large scale rehabber who could use it.

Diabetic needles are very small, too small to use for pushing subq fluids, but it is great to know that you have the others. I love those prefilled syringes. Do you have 23 or 25 gauge needles?

The only other needles I have are Huber’s and they aren’t going to be helpful...
But every week we get 20 pre-filled 10 ml syringes of sterile saline and probably use 10. So I have a TON I would love to see go to good use.
Pls feel free to PM me if you want to talk more about it.

You bet those would be useful. We could actually keep a supply that's not expired.

Still looking for a friend for your baby.

They are all good for about a year.
Thanks for keeping your eyes open for a buddy for Chester!

Had Lucky came to me by any means other than my son's school I would have sent her your way. I have a 4mo old singleton and three roomies that are about 11 weeks. I sure see the difference in the time commitment between both. Nibbles only has only had me to play with whereas Nibby, Chip & Dale entertain one another and only want to run laps around me when they pounce out as I clean the cage and feed them. I'd have never believed three is easier than one until I experienced it.

I had a friend ask me about a week ago if I wanted another baby that someone she knew had found one. I said no but I'd help find it a home and I never heard anything else. If that comes up again I will certainly get all the info I can over to you. =)
