    Default Wet breathing.

I tried asking in my on going thread with no help.
My lil girl who's about 5.5 weeks old has been sneezing a bit and when breathing it sounds wet/snotty like when you have a cold. Any ideas??? I'm scared it's something serious.
She is still eating and being her squirrely self running all over me and up my arms.
    Shes weighing in at 163g.

I have never heard of 'wet breathing' indicating a problem.
It sounds like her appetite is good, activity level is good.. and those are the main indicators of problems.
At this point I would just continue as you are doing, and watch to see if anything develops.
You could give her a drop or two of children's benadryl and see if that clears the congestion.

Actually, if she has congestive sounds in her chest while breathing, I don't like the sound of that......I would put her on a course of Baytril for at least 4-5 days, just in case. Pneumonia can be a nasty thing that sneaks up on baby squirrels even when we swear they never aspirated. Be on the safe side -- URI's are no joke either.

Her other thread explains this wet breathing is only after eating and includes a video...
