Scale issues

Hey ladies and gents!

Do y'all remember the scale issues I had with Theodore? I fixed it, or so I thought. I seen on a thread someone said to lay 4 quarters and it should be 22 grams (I think). So I go check it on mine, and it didn't even register! I am getting two babies this week and I want to be completely prepared. Is there something a bit bigger we may could use to compare? If it isn't going to work, I definitely need to get a new one.

A full 12 oz. can of soda weighs 386 grams on my scale. But if you scale will not register 22 grams, I would get a new one!

They are almost 4 weeks old I am way more prepared this time! Please have faith in me. Plus, I have y'all!!

Good thinking to check your scale, aricac -- for the first 4-5 weeks of a baby squirrel's life the scale is SO important. Log in weights every day, even twice a day, and feed accordingly. That way you'll never be taken by surprise when "something's wrong", because with careful weighing you see it coming.

So I weighed a few different 12oz cans. The 386gm was a regular Coke. A diet Coke weigh less, a beer more and interestingly a diet (light) beer the most.

But still, being able to weigh lighter objects is more important than being off a percentage point or two on heavier things like soda cans.

I was using a diet Coke. Odd that a Bud lite weighs the most!

I'm still going to go to Walmart and get a new one. I just hope our small town Walmart sells a good one!

Well, it was a Coors Light. Full disclosure: The others were Fanta Orange Soda, Diet A&W Root Beer and Founder's All Day IPA.
