Default Combining an electrolyte (Fox Valley Electro-stat) & formula

It seems that there are some sources saying it is okay to mix electrolytes & formula, and others say never to do this. I am referring to electrolytes already in a liquid state, or reconstitited; and formula that is already mixed with water, as I know that you should not use an electrolyte solution to replace the water when mixing the formula.
The 'never' side says that combining the two may cause isotonic diarrhea; have also read that it involves the combining of protein with the electrolytes that causes problems.
Have read that certain types of the iv fluids(non-isotonic) shouldn't be mixed with formula, which makes sense; while others are okay(LRS).
Some sources say pedialyte is fine to mix with formula(wild baby mammal manual), other, no(iwrc fluid therapy course).
Specifically, the Fox Valley Electro-stat product, which has on their packaging, how to transition to formula by combining the reconstituted product to formula.
Years ago, at our rehab, new arrivals were given fluids alone, and following this, the formula was introduced in stages by diluting with water over a number of feedings until at the full strength formula(2:1). This was in the Squirrel rehabilitation handbook by Shirley/ Allen Casey.
A number of years ago, we started using the Fox Valley E-stat product, where it is promoted as a product that can be used with formula to transition. Also like that the product is usually readily drunk by older squirrels to rehydrate. And I don't recall having any regular digesting problems while using it.
Anyone else using the FV Estat while introducing formula to their new babies?

    From the Henry's site...

"Powdered electrolyte formula for oral rehydration and introducing milk formula to neonates. Use for orphaned mammals.
DO NOT USE for more than 48 hours; do not mix with formula."

This is on the E-stat label/website:

    For introducing Milk Formulas:
Electro-stat can be used to introduce milk formula to neonates.
After rehydration, gradually introduce the milk formulas over a period of 24 to 48 hours.*

Gradually introduce milk formulas to the neonate according to the following schedule.*

3/4 part Electro-Stat solution + 1/4 part liquid milk formula

1/2 part Electro-Stat solution + 1/2 part liquid milk formula

1/4 part Electro-Stat solution + 3/4 part liquid milk formula

    - For oral use only -*

Hmmm, I wonder why the discrepancy?
    I sent a message to Henry's.
