    Default Ruby's Legs

Ruby came to me Thursday at 5:00 pm. She is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping well. Ruby's back legs are not being used though. They drag , pads up, behind her. I'm in Virginia and have called several vets with no help available. I have raised a squirrel before and either have,or can find and get, supplies she requires. Thank you for your help

Do you have any Gabapentin, Metacam, Prednisone, or Tramadol?
    What formula are you using?

I'm using Fox Valley 20/50 four to five times a day. She also has been getting Henry's Hi-Protien block in the morning. I have Gabapentin.

Lets start her on that at least.
    What is the strength/mg.
Do you know of anyone that would have Metacam?

Is this a capsule that you pull apart and "powder" comes out?
    Or a caplet?

What type of medication is the metacam? Just so I know who might have it? I'll try calling around to see if anyone has or can get it.

Prednisone and Metacam are much better anti inflammatory drugs.
If you could find either one that would be better than the Tramdol alone.

    Red face Re: Ruby's Legs

I'm so tickled I feel like one of the puppies - I could just pee in my underwear! Ruby's tail is curling up once in a while this morning..not straight up but off center to the left. It doesn't last but a couple of seconds but it's happening!! She is also sleeping a good sound "baby sleep".

Well this just made my day.
The other meds should be there tomorrow, and
hopefully we can get this little angel back on track.
If you haven't already, stop the infant ibuprofen, ok?
    You can continue with Tramadol.
