He is breathing more then he was before he got the medicine I hope it was enough
If he makes it through the night redouble your effort to find Cipro. It often is prescribed for UTI's so many women have it. Reach out to your friends and get them to reach out to their friends...

I will but I'm in Jacksonville Florida so the hurricane is hitting us right now and into the morning I'll ask around to see if anyone that is still here has any. I hope he makes it
he's taking bigger breathes now not as labored and the clicking is not as loud. Is it suppose to work this fast??
Be safe and we are praying for you and our Florida people. I hope you do not loose internet service. Please post when you can to tell us you are safe from Irma. Take care. I grew up in Tampa. My sister and brother are there. Prayers for all. Hold Rocket tight.

You holding him helps. It brings him comfort and keeps a connection to life. We have seen some pretty quick results. Usually with Baytril but who knows we don't use doxy that much with aspiration pneumonia but maybe it will work just fine. Keep him next to your heart. It will help him.
Praying for their safety we are prepared I just didn't know I was going to get little ones a sick one at that thank you for your help i was going crazy trying to get help!! Me and rocket thank you so much!!
I've dosed doxycycline for aspiration pneumonia in the past and it worked well both times.

I just read this thread. I'm so sorry. I'm glad he was not alone and felt your love.
It's ok he's in a better place now. He has a brother that's big and strong there is just one thing I can't figure out he's pees a lot like I mean a lot when he's picked up he pees and pees for a good mintue before it stops to feed him. I mean it's driping out I've just never seen a baby do that. I wipe home to get him to poop after a feeding and he does but he pees the whole time that's happening too and I think he's even peeing in him cage he's wrapped up and has a rice buddy that is on one side incase he gets to hot but it smells like pee and he's wet sometimes do you know why he does that?

Are you stimulating him to pee at every feeding? It may help to empty his bladder before you begin feeding/handling. It is normal for peeing to happen when they are pooping, also.
I do after every feeding with a warm soaked q tip or cotton ball I also clean off his face and if he got any on his body to keep him from getting a rash. And yes I've emptied his bladder once this last feed before he ate because he just kept peeing. I'll see if he does it on his next feeding which is at 6 we just lost power about and hour and half ago so I'll try my hardest to get enough light to see how much he pees
Wonder if he has a uti?

I don't know what else causes incontinence in a little one. My first thought was bladder overflow from a full bladder, needing more stimulation to completely empty.
Or may be it's not incontinence and he just is receiving plenty of fluids and has a full bladder all of the time, or associates your hands with peeing, or is bearing down in an attempt to poop, or has a UTI, or...
Guesses, all of these.
