I'm not certain how to dose the meds. Someone should be able to help you soon. I know that infant ibuprofen is preferred because it's stronger and requires less to be administered. The Augmenting is definitely a better choice for AP.

This is the first time I have looked at your thread and have not had time to read it through, but you have had the best helping you.

The diarrhea is not organs shutting but she does sound like there is a lot of stuff going on. Aspiration is very very easy to treat with antibiotics if caught in time. You have the right antibiotics now and you now have dosing.

I am concerned about her weight, 120 g is very small for a 7-8 week baby. Can you explain how you mix the formula. How you described it confused me.

She'll take approx 3 ml at a time.. Now she won't even limp around.. If I move her off the heating pad, she just stays where i put her.. I have managed to get her to eat approx 3 ml of formula total today.. I also crushed up an emergen-c (500 mg calcuim) and mixed it with the pedialyte.. She's had maybe 1/5 of that.. I also read that colloquial silver would help and I got some of that today.. I've given her 2 drops twice today.. I called the vet but the earliest they could see her is Tuesday late afternoon.. .
My friend UDoWhat just informed me that emergen-c is not calcium but instead, it is vitamin c. You just gave your baby an overdose of vitamin C. How many doses have you given her. The diarrhea is from this and also coilloidal silver. She needs to be flushed with plain water, not rehydration fluid. Give her as much as she will take of water.

The pain that she is experiencing is from the vitamin C as it causes cramping in abdominal/ intestines. I am afraid to dose the ibuprofen cos the liver and kidneys have already taken a hit from the vitamin C.

Please stop the C. silver. From what we looked up it stops medications from being absorbed, especially antibiotics.

Right now, all that can be done is flush her with water and monitor her condition. Hopefully she can make it till tomorrow and she can be seen by your vet. This is way out of my league.

If anyone knows anything about this...please jump in.

I just wrote this finder an email telling her to come back on the board NOW.
I will be on and off the board.
Just wanted anyone reading to know, that I've reached out to her via email.

I have been refreshing this thread day long and until I just wrote my "thank-you, but she's gone" post, I haven't seen anything yal have said all day.. Is there another way to get notifications or to see responses that I am unaware of (for future reference)?

I do appreciate everything and I will take your advice for my other babies A's far as changes in diet go.

For all of those asking about the formula, i mix 1/2c water with 4 tbsp of formula.. Is this incorrect?

That's sorta confusing but actually, it is correct. A 1/2 cup equals 8 tbsps. So your ratio is correct. (8 tbsp water and 4 tbsp of powder)

I don't like to have to convert units. I just use the same measuring device and do 2 to 1 but your method is correct.

No I mean an email to your EMAIL account, not a pm.
You answered my pm at 4:09.
CHECK TO SEE IF IT WENT IN YOUR JUNK FOLDER.
I put The Squirrel Board on the subject line.
I'm not understanding why you aren't seeing responses.

Yes, i did find it in my email. It was in spam I was refreshing the thread over and over but didn't realize there was a second page. I kept seeing the last thing I wrote at the bottom because everyone's responses was on page 2. >_<. When I wrote the last message, it automatically put me on the second page.

Is there no way to turn on notifications for pm's or reply's here?

It is best to mix the formula at least 4 to 6 hours ahead of time to allow it to more fully dissolve. We usually mix up a day or 1.5 days of formula at a time, refrigerating after mixing, shaking and what not.
