    Too sugary and sticky, and too high in carbs, for one.

    Of course your squirrel likes it, it's sweet, and they have a sweet tooth. Besides that, there is diabetes to consider?

    That's just my opinion of course, having done a comprehensive study of the diet of tree squirrels
    I didn't find any sugary sticky bars included in the list of their wild foods.

    No it isn't. It is nutritionally unsuitable even for people, but for squirrels especially. Please read about Healthy Diet for Pet/Captive squirrels.
