    Exclamation Green diarrhea again

Lincoln is almost 6 weeks old and for a week he has been struggling with diarrhea. It's green and mucusy. I have had him on the Brac diet and given several doses of keopectate. He is 156g and gaining. He firmed up for 1 day then back to diarrhea. His poop does not smell bad at all and his sister is doing perfectly fine. I suspect coccidia. Here is a link to my previous post where I received help.

So much going on between the two threads, maybe we can focus on yesterday and today?

What has he been being fed; how much and how often?

Is he still getting hydration; if yes what precisely, how much and how often?

When were the previous 2 doses of Kaopectate administered?

Off the top of my head I am wondering if he is getting too much sugar water (hydration)... if he requires additional hydration, maybe stick with plain water in between feedings.

He is on the brac diet which has his formula/rice cereal/baby bananapurree 6-7cc every 4 hrs. I am giving him 1-2 cc of water with a drop of honey in it in between feedings. He refused plain water. He had 3 doses of keopectate Sunday thru Monday morning and firm up into mucasy pellets. The diarrhea started again this morning first green and now clear with bright yellow and some green in it. He is peeing clear and a good amount

Albon and Baycox are recommended for coccidia. I'm not sure where you can purchase them, I'm sure others may be able to help. Do you possibly have a vet that would help you with the meds?

I am no coccidia expert, we need to get eyes of folks that are experienced with this to look at your posts BUT as I understand if this were coccidia it would smell horrible....

Who on here should I talk to I've been reading the poop threads for days and since he went straight back to diarrhea after the keopectate left his system I figured coccidia or worms? Pancur and baycox seem to be the favored treatment on here and I found both on the bearded dragon site. My only concern is most use equine pancur paste and the one on the site is a flavored liquid.

I'm trying to keep him hydrated and want to get whatever meds he needs as soon as possible

I believe Baycox (toltrazuril) is the preferred treatment for coccidia. But I have no idea about giving it to wee little ones...

Sorry for taking so long to reply it was feeding/potty time. I'm not sure if it is coccidia or not and have no way to test them for coccidia/gardia/worms. I have seen on here people who had the same issues as my lil guy and they treated with both pancur and baycox. Doesn't baycox also work for gardia? Was hoping someone who has dealt with these problems would be able to advise me on what I should do and get. Do you have any idea who I should speak to here that may know? I'm so scared for him and am averaging 4-5 hrs of sleep a day. I just want him to feel better

I would actually get both the Panacur and the Baycox.
If one doesn't work, at least you'll have the other.
You will need the Panacur liquid and the strength they sell of 100 mg/ml is exactly how
we dose it, according to the weight in grams of the little one.

Also should I go ahead and treat his sister even though she is healthy and showing no symptoms? For the baycox should I get the 2.5% or 5% he is 6 weeks and 156 grams. Lol sorry so many questions and I want to get it right for them.

With the Baycox, I would order the 5% one.

Yes the sister should also be treated if we are dealing with coccidia,
    it is very contagious.

Ok I ordered them but they will take a few days to get here. Will he be ok with diarrhea for that long. (I'll be giving him extra hydration) I'm worried he won't be getting the necessary nutrition with it running through him so fast!!! Should I try another round of keopectate? I don't want to lose the little guy

Crittermom has had really good luck with pepto bismol.
