Default Baby Chipmunk Age - "Rescue"?

    Hi there,

Today in our duck pen I found a baby chipmunk - She had some food tucked in her cheeks, and is fully furred and alert. However, she was somewhat slowly moving about, and I was afraid it would be as easy for the ducks/cats/dog to catch her as it was for me to scoop her up. I'm trying to decide if I should simply put her back and let her go along her way, or if she's too young to be completely on her own.

Any advice on figuring out how old this little critter might be?

It's hard to tell but maybe that's a golden mantles ground squirrel. Might be wrong thou. I saw some on vacation the other week.
