    Default Severe MBD

I've been treating my squirrel for MBD with tums for a few days now. He seemed to be getting better, but when I just got him out to feed him, he was freezing and wouldn't move. He is on a heating pad and he sometimes moves his tail sporadically. I think he's having seizures. He's about 8-9 weeks old. He's been eating powder puppy formula and taking tums with water about every 4 hours.

What kind of puppy formula are you giving to him? Why are you thinking he has MBD?

How long have you had your boy. Not that it can't happen, but 8-9 wks old is young for MBD. Why do you think he has MBD? Have you been feeding esbilac puppy formula? The can should have the words, pre and probiotic at the top of the can. The other powdered puppy formula can make them really sick.
Please give us some background information, especially concerning diet.

If you think he is seizing, take a q tip dip it in molasses and dab it in his cheek after each time.

Could he have bit into an electric cord. Keeping him on heat is good.

  5. Serious fuzzy thank you's to redwuff from:
