Default How often to feed 6 wk olds?

Scrappy Do and Rose both weigh 163 g today at 6 wks and 2 days old. I am feeding Esbilac 3/4 and FV 20/50 at 1/4 every 4 hours (except at night). Every time I try to increase anything over FV at 1/4, my boy gets really bloated, so I've been keeping it at a quarter, but now it seems he gets bloated every other day! It's not horrible bloat and a little dandelion root tea with a touch of molasses with a couple of warm baths sets him straight. I was thinking of feeding every 5 hours to try to avoid this problem. Does feeding at 6 am, 11 am, 4 pm and 9 pm sound ok? I just introduced them to Henry's blocks a couple days ago and they nibble them a bit. Ty!

Cute photo. They have thrived in your care!
Yes you can go to 5 hours like you posted, or maybe every 6 hours at this weight.
Not sure if you're up around 12:00
but I sometimes "top them off" a little if my feeding schedule "ends early".
In other words I don't like them to go 9 hours without eating. BUT if you go to
every 5-6 hours they may take more.
If they continue to have bloat with adding the 20/50 Fox Valley, I would just
stick with the Esbilac, they will be fine with just that.

I agree -- you can go every 5 hours at this age and weight, and sneak in 6 hrs overnight too. They look great!
