Wound on front leg

My friend had a male 1 year old squirrel with small eraser size open wound in armpit I don't know how to post a pic. I had her flush with betadine he just keeps chewing that spot any ideas I'll post a pic if someone can tell me how

You are welcome. I wonder if using Dermal Gel would help prevent so much chewing?

Has his caged been checked really well for any hitches, broken wires / bars.. anything at all that may have caused this wound?
