Exclamation LOWER DELAWARE HELP NEEDED ASAP

Our cat found a baby squirrel (EYES-CLOSED) that appears to have fallen out of a tree during a big storm. I took the squirrel from the cat; he looks unharmed. He's about five inches long (not including tail), maybe 100 grams. We warmed him, hydrated him with sugar/salt/water mix, and, later, fed a combination of the rehydration mix and cream.

The squirrel seemed to like both the hydration and feeding. We hydrated and fed him every two hours overnight. We have tried manual stimulation to induce urination and defecation--with no success.

We cannot care for this squirrel for much longer and NEED IMMEDIATE REHOMING in Southern Delaware. We will check this board throughout today, September 2nd, for response.

    Thank you!

    While we look for help.
Cat saliva is deadly to squirrels.
Do you, or anyone you know have Baytril (animal antibiotic)
    Cipro (human) Clavamox or Augmentin.
    He needs this ASAP.
I will put out some SOS pm's now.

    Thank you.

We will continue feeding, keeping him warm.

We have no antibiotics or access to them at this time. The little guy has no injuries as I got him from the cat immediately. He seems strong and sleeps well.

Hopefully, a rehabber will be available, soon.

Thank you for your reply, Trysh.

I'm on the Eastern Shore one hour from Annapolis. This is the worst weekend of the year to be heading toward DC (Beach traffic ). I'll need a rehabber on the East side of the Bay Bridge.

Cat saliva is so deadly and often there are tiny puncture wounds that are not as easily seen, that as a protocol, we still do antibiotics with cat associations.

Thank you for rescuing this tiny baby.
