    Default Southern Flyer question

I'm still learning how to use the site and I'm not to sure how to start a post but I do have a question. I have a southern flying squirrel (squirrley) that will be 2 in August. She really only likes me and tolerates my spouse. She will run around on him but won't let him touch her. We don't get much company around my house so she's not used to new people and will occasionally swat at or warn bite people that do come over and want to see/play with her. Does anyone have any clue what I can do to help her warm up to people other than me? She's even a jerk to me on occasion. I'm not sure how to discipline her to make her know that's not ok. What do I do??

I would give mine a firm NO with a gentle tap on the nose when they would bite,
and as with a child or a critter consistency is the key word here when trying to
get your point your across to these little sweet creatures.

Also remember that this is a training phase and she is being as patient as she can while she tries to teach you what is what...

so squirrely has bit me everyday for a week now. She doesn't bite hard or draw blood but she does make a noise and nip. Just wondering if its possible that she is in heat?

    That certainly is a possibility.
