This information came from Marcia at Coast & Canyon Wildlife. She has 16 Petiatric incubators and has been using them for years. Her recommendations are as follows:

Pinkies to approx. 3 weeks old: 90-93*F

3 weeks till done with incubator: 86-88*F

    Injured/Sick adults: 80-83*F

The one thing that she stressed (and she said it like 8 times)

TOUCH AND FEEL THE BABIES WITH YOUR HANDS. IF THEY FEEL COOL, INCREASE THE TEMP, IF THEY FEEL HOT, LOWER THE TEMP.

She also said if the babies are sick she may increase the temp by a degree or two if they seem to feel cool.

    Hope this helps!!!

GREAT Info -- thank you MM and Marcia!

I'm relieved to see that these are pretty much the same temps I use, except with a heating pad. I have a probe that goes under the blankies and shows me in digital readout what the temp is inside the container. It's funny when the readout suddenly jumps to 99-100*; if you look, you will always see that a baby is lying on top of the probe.

I printed this out and stuck it on my incubator. I have two thermometers in there now and may get a third to place in the back, I really appreciate the info!!! I knew this would be the best place to come!
    Thanks,
    TJ
