Cat attack :(

Just rescued a chipmunk from a neighbour's cat. I have him in a carrier with some towels and put him in a quiet dark room while waiting to take him to a wildlife sanctuary. Anything I am missing while we wait?

Not sure how he will fair, looks like a broken shoulder but I want to give j the best shot possible.

A heating pad set on low under 1/2 of the container would offer supplemental comforting heat.
A small flat heavy dish with some water in it might be well received also.
A grape cut in half or some sunflower seeds would be nice too.

They are pretty high stress so warm, dark and quiet is best.

Do you have someone already lined up? If not maybe we have someone close to you. Cat saliva is toxic to squirrels and probably chipmunks too. This little one probably needs to be given antibiotics as soon as possible. Dark and quiet right now is the best.

Yes, have someone lined up, just waiting for them to arrive in the next half hour or so. Fingers crossed for the little guy, so heart breaking.

Toronto Wildlife Centre often euthanizes. Don't know if you're going there. Always check before going. Do you have any antibiotics that you could treat with?
