Exclamation Loosing hair from luck of nutrition

I think it is mange but I prefer to confirm... I've never seen a tail so badly affected.

~7 weeks old.. He is all skin and bones.

I have ivermectin and revolution? What do you suggest?

    Thank you.

Personally I think it looks like mange, I'd go with the Ivermectin
but first would have to check and see if safe for a seven week old.
He's weakened state is what's fueling the condition, definitely needs nutrition.

Edit: As another thought on this... Mange generally leaves a scaley skin
apperence. Could very well be just lack of a good nutrition.

While it could be mange...... mange generally does not leave a squirrel skin and bones, therefore, it leaves me to think
maybe the hair loss might be more of a diet issue. How has he been acting lately, eating and when did all this start?

I just got it .. 2 hours ago. Found today in someone's yard. This is all I know.

He did a normal poo at first but now it is liquid and very dark .. almost black.

Why would you go with Ivermectin over Revolution? Ivermectin is just so harsh, even deadly.

To be on the safe side..... I would treat him with Revolution (its safe) 1 drop between the the shoulder blades, and
then we can hydrate/flush him tonight and half of tomorrow..... before we start to work on his diet issues.

    Homemade Pedialyte
    1 cup warm water
    1/4 tsp salt (teaspoon)
    1 Tbsp sugar (tablespoon)

........ keeps 3 days in the frig

I totally agree...... we use Ivermectin with the wilds because we have to, but with our rehabs we can place Revolution on them with out the risk and it WORKS!!

Baby is 7 weeks and his skin is like stuck to his bones but he weighs 180gr!!! When given even only 2cc of water his stomach gurgles like a boiling sound inside and he regurgitates - come out from his mouth and nose. He curls up on himself, looks down and doesn't move. It's as if he's full of something but we can't tell what. He pees immediately as it goes right through him.

On top of that, his hair is falling out everywhere. This morning Iwonka gave him a warm bath, massaged his tummy and bunches of hair fell off as she did so.
His 1st poop had consistency, was very dark brown, and then his next one was very green and completely liquid (diarrhea).

    He also grinds his teeth.

UPDATE: Right now Iwonka just sub-Qd him and his skin seems to become a bit looser.

What can we do? Trying by all means possible to save this baby.

    Praying for this baby!

I had my female lose hair on her tail. No other symptoms though. I used dawn dish liquid straight onto cottom ball. Wiped her tail with the dawn soaked cotton ball. Within 2days hair was growing back. She has her big beautiful tail back without hatsh meds. :-)
