Default Maggie has hurt her eye - Help

Maggie has hurt her eye. I noticed it this afternoon.
I wiped it with a warm rag. She definitely has pain in
it. Everytime I touched he she fussed like she was in
    pain.

I checked on her just a few minutes ago. Her eye
is turning white. I wiped it again with a warm rag.
It is still hurting her. I have just know given her some
    childrens motrin for the pain.

What do I need to do?
Is there anything I can put on her eye?
Can I give her some pain medicine?
Do I need to bring her inside?
Do I need to seperate her and Ace?
Do I take her to the vet? Will that stress her too much?

She is in the release cage with Ace. I was going to
release them this fall. He is a little bigger than her.
They play all the time. Ace is always grabbing her
from behind. Maybe he could of have scratched her
eye with one of his nails??? Also there is some fresh
and old tree cuttings in the cage. She could of possibly
hurt her eye on one of them.

She is in pain. What can I do?
Can't stand to see her hurting.

She is 6 months old. She is small for her age.
I don't know how much she weighs. There is
no way I can hold still enough to weigh her.

I would flush her eye with a sterile saline solution,
flushing from the outside toward her nose.
Then use a topical ophthaimic antibiotic ointment. (without steroids)

All drug stores should carry some brand of it,
if your not sure what your looking at/for ask the pharmacist.
Like putting neosporin on a cut, Ophthaimic just means it's used/safe for the eyes.

You may also want to consider bringing her back in to get her out of any bright light until it has a chance to heal.
If it is a scratch or any irritation for that matter light is
just going to irritate it even more.

Neosporin actually makes its product in an opthalmic version.

    hoping it's a minor irritated eye and she feels better soon... I scratched my eye recently {a sq did it}
it hurt for two days non stop.. mean pain, but day three was as if nothing had happened...eyes heal fast...
hoping that is all it is.

Does polysporin eye drops have seroids in it? The also have the eye formula in an ointment form rather than liquid drops. Ask your pharmacist. It should be behind the counter.

Just know took these after I brought her inside.

The eye seems to look a little better - not as
    squinty

Does not seem to be as painful. But she still
    has pain.

I flushed it and put on eye oniment on it.
I also gave her some more ibuprofen.

She seems to be ok with coming back inside.
She is probably glad to get away from Ace

When dealing with eyes, be very cautious. They're precious.

    Mother-hen style warning:
Also, pay attention for signs of allergic reaction to whatever treatment you give. I've had this happen in kittens to veterinary prescribed eye meds. Unfortunaly, in my situation, one little guy list an eye (very extreme situation... He had a major reaction to the meds) but his sacrifice saved both his brother's eyes (we were better prepared for the signs and symptoms of the allergic reaction).

It's always best to get professional help. However, here is some info to guide you....

Not to torture you little one, can you get a closer shot of your little pne's eye?

I'm really concerned that she could end up with something similar as my little guy years ago. Not to scare you, there's no guarantees either way; I'm just concerned..... My kitten developed a coat (scab) over his eye and (keeping in mind that cats have two sets of eyelids) his inner eye lid ended up sealing shut. It's different for a squirrel about the eyelids but I still worry. You don't want it to develop a scab on top of its eye.

Sorry, don't want to freak you out. Can't remain silent in concerns either....

    Maggie's eye seems worse.

    Not bad swelling or squinty.

    But cloudy and dry.

I flush it gently with sterlie saline and put some eye oniment on it. Flushing it with the saline and onimnet seemed to feel good to her. She is still have pain.

I am so worried about her. It does not seem she has any sight in the eye.

Please let me know what I should do.

I have also started her on AB's - TMS oral

These are pics from just 15 minutes ago

***also picked up 2 pinkies from a hawk attack. 1 has already died Working on warming the other one up. The guy left them out this afternoon to reunite with the mom but she did not comeback.

The morning shots of her, I noticed the same thing, a whitish haze over the eye.
Can you get her to a vet?
I will direct Jackie to this thread tomorrow.
I have no idea what to do, I would go to my vet, but that too can be stressful.
    Let's see what Jackie says.
