I would feed him as often as you can. PLEASE get some sugar into him. If no food in that long you could be looking at a blood sugar issue.

How much sugar have given tums

Most people alternate the hydration and nutrition. Hydration is key because if they are dehydrated, the nutrition won't be absorbed. Is he dehydrated? To tell, gently pinch the skin behind the shoulders up and see if it falls back down quickly or stays tented for any amount of time. You can try this on the back of your hand first. If it stays tented, push the fluids.

Sugar's fine, but do you happen to have any molasses that he could lick off of your finger? Molasses obviously has a lot of sugar, but it also has a lot of nutrients.

Do you have any molasses or heck, even in a pinch, I have used pancake syrup (but molasses is best). Rub some over his gums. Seizure deplete even more calcium. Molasses has it, and the sugar, to bring his blood sugar levels up. He is at risk of a hperglycemic seizure if his blood sugar is low. As stated, the dosage on the tums is to be broken up and given throughout the day. How much does he weigh?

I was on phone she walked me through my steps had given tums at 10:00 and she sat up at 12:00 I think that is a great sign. I know we are not out of woods yet. Thank you all I was so scared. He is back in bed only stayed up about 10:00 but for not moving for two days it was good to see. Need to go buy things for him will post in a few hours. Thank you again. I called and spoke with Kim. She was going to give a little more calcium then head out to the store to get some things. She is very dedicated to this baby and is willing to do whatever it takes. I am sure later she will share how this baby came to her, but suffice to say, this baby is VERY SPECIAL to her, for good reason. He was walking a bit, which she says he had not done at all, but is back in bed now sleeping. I have emailed her the MBD emergency treatment, the link to Henry's, link to the healthy diet, which blocks she needs to order, the MBD kit on Henrys, and the link for the goats milk (for future if needed) and the link to Fox Valley, with which formula to get. She is picking up Ensure, yogurt and food from the healthy diet. He was raised on kitten formula, so he is in a rough way. But she will do whatever she needs to. She said she will post when she gets home.

I have to get back to making my glider food, but will be back shortly. She also has my number, as well, if needed.
