    Thanks!

Spooky didn't come back yesterday till her Daddy got home from work. He is definitely her human.

I thought they'd sleep in, HA, no such luck. They were up and out playing at 6am. Everybody's accounted for, and Cloe, who slept in the tree nest box by herself seemed ok.

    Cloe this am:

That's funny you say that, cause he actually went to the costume contest at my work as Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. And he won. LOL

    Take a look:

All three babies returned again at sundown today. They all three slept together in their tree nest box. Since they are not going in their rc anymore, should I put their food on the outside of the cage. They don't seem interested in going in to eat, but there is tons of stuff for them to eat on the ground still and I think they are just super excited about being outside.
So should I fix their food bowl on the outside of the cage?
I already put their water bottle on the outside of the cage and this evening Cloe came down and drank nonstop for like 2 or 3 minutes. We got a kick out of it. But she was VERY thirsty. So I decided to keep it there for better access to the babies. They seem so happy.

The water is ok right now. In a week or so, remove it.
The food, might be better to let them hunt for it. Good training for later.
Place it nearby and reduce the amount to teach them to hunt for it.
As time passes, they will learn to forage on their own.
Chances are, they will still come back to you because they remember.

Oh geez, I just checked the weather and it's 34 degrees here in south Alabama. I don't know how yall do it up north. But that's cold down here for us. I'm worried about my babies staying warm. They are in their outside nest box in the tree about one quarter full of polyfill only. I hope they are ok. There's 3 of them, so they have each other for body heat, right. Oh, I'm worried now, wish I hadn't checked the temp.

I went out a little later than usual today, about 8 am. All three were up and about this am. All three accounted for, and it's warmed up significantly today. Whew!

I am going to go backwards here a little, because I realize now I didn't find TSB until after these three were out of their baby stage. So I just wanted to show yall a few of them when they first came to me.

    Houdini and Cloe

    And Spooky

Houdini and Cloe a few days after I got them, still so tiny. They both fit in my hands

    Hope you enjoy!

Spooky and Houdini were at their tree tonight at bedtime. Both came to us for a treat. No sign of my sweet little Cloe tonight. My hubby saw her yesterday so I'm not going to worry yet.

    Thank You Tomcics!!
Update: Cloe came home. But we haven't seen Spooky and Houdini since day before yesterday. I'm confident that they are ok and just doing their "squirrel thang"!!

Yes, they do that. We still can't help but wonder at times.

Spooky is still MIA. I don't know where she might be, nor have I seen her. All the wild squirrels must think I'm a crazy lady, every time I see a squirrel, any squirrel, I'm calling "Spook Spook!! Com'ere baby!!" and they just run from me.
But Houdini and Cloe, the true siblings of the three, are coming back nightly like clockwork to sleep in their tree nest box. They are still eating HHBs , boo balls, veggies, etc. and taking nuts from us and burying and/or eating them. They are very healthy and no accidents yet thank God.
I just wonder if I'll ever see Spooky again. She was her daddy's baby.
It's only been like 12 days, that's not bad right? Squirrels disappear for weeks to return, right?

Krissie, don't ever give hope on little Spooky, as I recently posted one of my squirrel regulars (Gnome) showed up after 7 months MIA. Spooky has some pretty good sized ears , so if you keep calling for her, she may just show up .
