    Default Wild lady needs help.

I saw this squirrel a week or so ago and could easily tell that she had some trouble eating. She was mostly licking out of the side of her mouth and not seeming to use her front teeth. I initally thought maybe her front teeth were too long and causing an issue.
Today as my boyfriend and I were about to leave the house, he noticed her just laying in the driveway, nose down and not moving. She is obviously very sick. I was able to scoop her with little fight, no verbal stress at all. I cleaned her up as well as i could, her nose was scabbed over and eye scabbed shut. She has an obvious infection(and hole where puss was oozing) on the right side of her face that i uncovered while cleaning, her lower jaw seems "chunky" ... infection? injury? she does not move her jaw, but moves her tounge in a licking motion. I didnt weight her yet but she is surprisingly at a very health weight, my boyfriend and i were both surprised at how heavy she is.
Ive attached pictures for ya'll to see, I tried my best with the photos but she was a little difficult to pose.
Any ideas on how to treat? what her issue may be? From what we could see her teeth do not seem like they themselves have punctured her mouth, tho they are awkward.
    Thanks !

    oh boy,
I am not an expert, but I will send a few PMs to some who might help.
in the meantime, do you have pets or your friends/family who have pets might have antibiotics. I know that most people choose baytril?
COuld you look at what you might have in terms of human antibiotics, too?sometimes it is possible to use those.

Please keep checking here often = someone experienced will be here soon

i htink, she has malocclusion, but I will let experts confirm.
If so, she might have to be a NR - non-releasable.
    Ok, lets waitfor the experts

I cleaned her wounds with an antibiotic soap (watered down) Provon. I did not notice her nipples being pronounced when i was handling her. She is in our "outdoor release" cage with blankets & in the heated garage so she is warm and comfortable.

Keep her in a dark place in a small box with a heating pad, on low, under 1/2 of it.
Use fleece for blankets, not towels
Someone will be on soon to help.
Infant (not childrens) ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
Try to clean the wound on her neck with mild soap and water.
It looks to me like she got into a fight with something bigger than her.
Can you see if her nipples are very noticeable??
she could be pregnant, that could be why she feels heavy.

just don't bring her to any wildlife centres yet - if she does have malocclusion, she will be euthanized.

I've sent out a few PMs, so someone should be here soon

She sure does need help. First, of course you want to keep her dark, warm and quiet. Stress will make everything she has going on even worse. I would not try right now to clean the wound too much -- let her rest and get warm while we try to find someone to take her. She will need antibiotics for sure; there is an abcess or two going on there. Her bloodshot eyes and blood (?) on her lip suggest an impact injury to me -- others may disagree. She may have been hit by a car, or fallen. Give her a warm blanket, sweatshirt or fleece scarf to burrow into -- no towels. Let's see who is near you that we can call!

RE: the malocclusion -- hard to tell from that pix, but if she has been down due to the abcess/infection she has not been eating properly nor chewing to keep her teeth ground down. She may have a temporary malocclusion for this reason. The cheek abcesses in squirrels can be deadly -- that, IMHO, is what we want to address ASAP.
