Default Your opinion on MBD treated squirrel release

I need your opinions on a squirrel in my care. She is 9 months and doing so well now but the lady who got her barely saved her. She had a sibling and within a few days he had a seizure and died from MBD. Animis has 3 seizures but got treated in time. This lady's mom had been a rehabber years ago and helped. But my question is what is the general concess for releasing a squirrel with such a horrible history of MBD. I plan on transporting the squirrel to a wildlife vet monday for evaluation and x-rays but I really want to know what you all think.

IMHO a squirrel that has MBD can never be released, they stay compromised all their lives.
Sure hope someone comes on here and tells me I am wrong and has an example or two.

I agree, Anne. Once one has it, the risk of it returning is higher then the 'averages'.

I love the opinion, I hope more people put thiers as rehabbers see more than vets do.
