Re: what AB for lactating mom??
I have seperated Banana and babies... her front arms are not working at all. I had to go with the steroid.. so I will take care of her babies.
can't say I see any wounds...but went ahead with ABs until I know for sure there are no wounds..
so pred and cipro...she took some hydration solution also. She is allowing me to help her.
Babies are so gorgeous and momma milk plump.
-----------
the little boy is hanging on..
he is also getting cipro and pred.
he also had Hydration solution...
got all under control I think just in time.. KB should be here soon to pick up Richard...and he is ready to see her too. He is super active right now, as if he knows she is coming soon!:D
true love!

thanks again for the research SM & MM!

Re: what AB for lactating mom??
Such a hard decision cause we all know Momma is best.
Please keep us updated on how everyone is doing JIT.
Do you have any idea at all what may have happened to Bananas?
Front arms not working? A fall perhaps? How old are the babies?

Re: what AB for lactating mom??
am I wrong? as a sq helper, I have seen so many pass away myself..
read about others rehabbing cat attacks...all heart breaks...
the way I see it... a pet is a luxury...
if someone bought a Bose, very luxury... they would not keep it outside...
sadly, I do not like cats at all anymore..
I cannot get past their terrorist savage side... I cannot.
I see a cat.. and kringe...
too many tears to love anything so destructive.. I know it is the owners... but when a baby is seizing and bleeding and tremors..
I want to bait my traps with luxury kitty food...
meow my ass. RIP pretty baby
------------------------------
on a good note, Banana is still with us... very still and calm.. I did get armage,... fred thinks both arms are broke... I think her spine is injured...
I do not want to take her to vet... I will confer with vet, but Banana would not do well...she would become frenzied and cause more damage trying to GO HOME.
Her babies are doing great and took right to the FV,,, honest!
they acted as if they had been feeding on it forever... the little boy has both eyes open this AM.. the little girl is still eyes closed.
Their bellies are what Beautiful is all about... kissalicious!

thanks... grey hairs are growing.
From everything I was able to find it appears that ibuprophen is okay while pregnant and/or lactating.
The amounts that are transferred into the breastmilk are minimal and equate to less than 1/8 of an infant dose.
Although, everything I read did say that when determining whether to give any med to a pregnant or lactating mom the benefits to the Mom should outweigh the risks to the babies.
Since we regularly administer ibuprophen to babies, I would tend to think that it would be fine for the babies to ingest a little bit through the breast milk.
If she is in that much pain due to her injuries, she may very well reject all of the babies to save herself.
A bit of pain killer may make it all a little more bearable for her.
I think in this instance the benefit to Mom outweighs the risk to babies.
