I'm worried this baby girl is eating enough, shes between 5-6 weeks and only eats 2 ccs per feeding. She starts falling asleep after 1.5. She is pooping and peeing fine and I'm scared of overfeeding too.
:thinking How would i know if she has aspirated formula? She's not weezing but I think she got too much and started sneezing, I cant stand feeding with syringes, they are too hard to gauge how much pressure, does anyone have a safer method? I use an eye dropper and feel much more comfortable with it, but it only holds one cc.

hmm.....

have you tried feeding her late at night?

flying squirrels are nocturnal, you know, and perhaps she would have more energy to eat during nighttime.

aspiration is usually indicated by formula coming out of the nose, sneezing, shaking the head, pulling away from the syringe, ect.. if you fear that she's aspirating, just go verrrrry slowly. also, wash out the syringe with water right before you use it. this should make it easier to push out even increments of formula.
