Hello,

Does anyone know what the Capstar dosage for a squirrel would be? Gram to pill ratio? Thanks!

I was hoping a rehabber would be online tonight. But since that's not the case, I copied this from a previous post:

Capstar comes in different strengths so be very careful when giving advice that all are using the same strength pill.
In wildlife the recommended dosage is based on the 11.4mg pill. Use 1/4 of the pill in animals over 100 grams. Under 100 grams dissolve the 1/4 tablet in 2cc's of water and give one drop with a 3cc syringe orally. It can be repeated in 24 hours.

Under 100 grams would be a small baby squirrel. Hope this helps.

Thank you! She is 265 grams, not Bella, a juvenile rescue that has lice ;.( I figured about 1/4 pill but I did not want to take the chance of overdose until I heard from someone else. :thankyou

Does Capstar kill lice? Ivermectin is commonly used.
