I just signed my "wow" pledge "watch out for wildlife" which is a new program Defenders of Wildlife is implementing. These are the contacts of the people involved with this in each state. It's meant to protect wildlife from being killed unnecessarily in road accidents. but what I thought was important was the wildlife contacts in each state. whether you "belong" to DoW or not, they are people to contact when you have concerns about the wildlife in your particular state. whether it be dangerous roads or construction or whatnot.

I learned at the conference that in Australia their AAA automatically contacts a wildlife rehabilitator when the accident involves hitting an animal. Wouldn't that be an awesome thing to start here in each state?
