If someone could please reach out to me in private message. We have picked up a baby that was attacked and is very dehydrated. He was found by children who then lugged him around in a bucket. I do not think he will make it through the night but I want to make sure we are doing all we can. Please and thank you.

Start with warming him, followed by hydration. For hydration take a cup of water and a teaspoon or so of either honey, syrup or sugar. You’re just trying to sweeten it a bit is all for taste. If you have a 1 ml syringe would be ideal. Warm the hydration solution like you would formula to ~105-110 and go slow.

I'm so sorry for how the world treated this baby Squirrel! Love is not a part of Nature; love comes from us! Thank you for your willingness to help this Little One which is truly a manifestation of your capacity to love! Nothing was going in favor of this vulnerable little animal except for you and unfortunately, even time was not acting in his favor as he was already very close to the Rainbow Bridge when he came to you. I wish you peace Jbow87 and thanks again for trying to rescue this unfortunate baby! His passing at least means that his suffering has finally ended!
RIP little baby Squirrel!
Regards,
SamtheSquirrel

Thank you all for your help and kind words. My wife held him until he passed and she tried everything that y’all suggested. I’m thankful he is not suffering anymore but I’m so furious at people that are not willing to educate their children or intervene. Thank you all again.

I know exactly what you mean and have experienced it first hand myself. I try to turn my anger at children into education for them as some parents just don't get it.

Thank you and wife for helping this little one. Sometimes injuries are too much to survive.
