Good Evening!

I am looking for a squirrel friendly vet either within the state of Virginia or surrounding it. My two year old eastern grey is favoring his front left arm/elbow area. His arm and paw are definitely swollen and he keeps holding it up. We are limiting activity because of this, but there have been no accidents that we witnessed for this to happen. I would like to get him to the vet ASAP to ensure its nothing more than a sprain. Could anyone please recommend a squirrel friendly vet? I don't think there will be one in VA since it isn't a squirrel friendly state.

Thank you so incredibly much.

Someone else may be able to help - but there is one in Raleigh NC - Dr. Dan Johnston at Avian and Exotic - https://www.avianandexotic.com/

thank you! I called them prior to posting and they were completely booked for tomorrow. I’m not entirely sure if it’s a break, but it’s very swollen and warm.

Checking in to see how your little guy is doing ??

We have about 15 friendly wild foxes that come by everyday to say hello and grab a snack. Over the years, many have come with arm and leg injuries that simply require them to lay around resting. Sometimes they get a walnut dosed with ibuprofen to relieve the pain and swelling. They usually recover within a week or two. Been lucky none have broken any bones.

Hoping the best for your little one.
