Red dot on squirrel belly

A 10 weeks-old squirrel has red dots all over his belly. I let him play outside on the tree, and at night, he would come into the house. Could it be fleas had bitten him? Or did chickenpox or other squirrel attack him?

I just moved this thread to the emergency section, non life-threatening, so that more of our experienced members might see it. This baby may have insect bites or mange, or possibly even the beginning of squirrel pox. Can you handle him in order to medicate him? Are they only on his belly?
