Is there anything that I need to be doing consistently for my squirrels' grooming needs? nails? teeth? She is about 9 weeks old.

Unless they are compromised in some way, squirrels of that age are self-cleaning creatures. Make sure they have clean branches or wood to chew to keep their teeth properly ground down. Unlike domestic animals, squirrels don't require maintenance unless they can't groom themselves.

Which doesn't necessarily mean that they don't enjoy a nice toothbrush for a full body brush down! My boy loves it!

I think it’s so cute how many squees like the toothbrush grooming! Mine would’ve seen plastic and immediately gone into a frenzy to steal it and chew it into pieces! Lol I couldnt turn my back on ANYTHING with plastic, without playing a 20 minute game of “keep away and squeal!” 😜🤣
make sure your squirrel has lots to chew on. They need to constantly wear down their teeth. They grow 6 inches a year! Providing some branches or wood with rough bark or tread tape (sandpaper) helps to keep their nails filed a little too. They will still be razor sharp talons, but it helps some! 😀
