Hi everyone! I know I ramble so I’ll try to keep this succinct. Picasso has been going through the slow release process for about 10 days- starting with in the outside cage for the day and in at night, then missed a couple of days because a huge ant problem, but is now eradicated thanks to food grade diatomaceous earth and orange oil. He has since spent the night in his outside cage (3 nights) Until today he has been mostly splooting and watching from his baby bed and top of baby cage that I put in outside cage. (Watching him through a ring camera). Yesterday he met an outside squirrel for the first time and today he has been fairly nonstop running laps around the cage. I sat with him for bit to see if that would calm him, but not really. Should I be concerned or is this absolutely normal? Is there anything I should do? TIA!

I'm sure he's feeling the call of the wild, new fall air👍

Thank you! As a super nervous mama I don’t know how much is just nature’s process and what I should be concerned about 😬

Mine have always started pacing eventually, to me it's a good sign that they are looking forward to their adventures in the trees but only when they've had enough time to get to know their area and realize how to be a wild.
And safe.

Yes I figure we have at least another couple of weeks to go, if not a little longer. I know I’m racing against time with fall’s arrival, but I do live in central AL and we have very little leaves falling yet. And of course my greatest hope is he will stick around so I can feed him through winter
