We have a squirrel that has been treated 2 times with ivermectin so far. He is actually looking worse today. He now has scabbing which he didn't at first. I'm wondering if he actually even got the medicine at this point. He would take the nut with ivermectin up to top of tree to eat. He could have dropped it I guess. Here are his pictures today.

If enough time has elapsed, I would re-dose. Make the nut treat small - like a half a pecan, cut in half again, put ivermectin on one half, let dry for a bit, then cover the ivermectin with peanut butter or nutella and put the other half on top and give a squeeze. If it is a SMALL treat they will eat it all.

Thanks. I will try that. I gave a dose on Sunday.

I have another squirrel starting to look the same. Could it be dermatophytosis?

7-10 days between doses so early next week. You are using the equine 1.87% stuff?

No, I used ivermectin oil that I bought from squirrel nutrition. I have the 1% injectable that we used for a fox with mange. Should I use a drop of that or pick up the ivermectin 1.87% paste tomorrow from tractor supply?
