I need someone with some basic baby bunny expertise! My husband rescued a baby bunny from his mom's flooded yard after hurricane. I'm guessing it is either a marsh rabbit or cottontail (Tampa Bay area of FL). He actually thought it was a squirrel and brought it to me b/c I rehab baby squirrels for past 20 years. I took one look and said- umm this is a baby bunny! He did not see any nest in the area or any other babies in the area. My guess is that the nest might have been flooded out. Eyes are open ears are still back a bit. About 4" long 76g. Anyone have a proper way to age these guys? It looks to be a bit dehydrated but I am hesitant to offer anything as I'm not a baby bunny expert! I did provide warmth, some timothy hay, timothy pellets (we have domestic rabbits), fresh parsley and a bowl of water. Should I provide formula? Pedialyte? I do have some "critical care" for emergencies for domestic rabbits. Anyone out there with baby bunny experience?
