What is the size of the doxycycline in milligrams?
What is the expiration date of the doxycycline. It is one of few that this makes a difference.
And what is wrong with the baby?

100 mg
It expires 12/31 of this year.
He is clicking and everything I'm reading suggests aspiration pneumonia. He has discharge from his nose.

Dosing sent by PM.
I forgot to add, if you are unsure of how to read a syringe, PLEASE ask here on the board before you dose!

I did the proper dose, but can you suggest a probiotic?
Thank you, thank you and thank you for all your help.

I take probiotics myself - any drug store or Walmart has them. They are capsules so you can pull apart and dump out in a little container. A tiny pinch of the powder can be added to anything - water, the formula, whatever. Just don't heat them to more than 115 degrees or you will kill the beneficial bacteria.
Any of these will work: https://www.cvs.com/search?searchTerm=probiotic%20capsules

I didn't realize I could just use my own.
Again, thank you so much. You have no idea how much I appreciate this!

You don't need much - one of those capsules is a daily dose for a human - however, it isn't like an antibiotic or a pain killer that is toxic in large quantities, plus, every time they take another dose of antibiotics, they pretty much kill all of the beneficial bacteria in the gut. That is why I suggest 2 hours AFTER a dose of the meds. The doxy goes through the stomach and kills the bacteria, then is moved along into the digestive tract and eventually out of the body. Then you give the probiotics and they repopulate the stomach until the next dose of antibiotics. Two hours after gives the antibiotic time to exit the stomach and the probiotics have all day to do their thing in there. Then you give the second dose of antibiotics and everything happens again. It gives the probiotics the longest possible time to repopulate the gut before they get killed again.
