Hello,
One of my neighborhood western gray squirrels with whom I am buddies with was suffering from some kind of sinus infection (yellow discharge from nose). It has lot of trust in me so one day I could not see it suffering and placed a trap outside my patio where she has built a nest. She was hungry that day and was waiting for me to give her treats. I placed treats inside trap and she pounced on the treat with full trust in me and got trapped. She started crying once inside the trap but I had loaded her into my car's trunk and took it to local wildlife rescue center where vet confirmed that she had some kind of infection. They were going to treat her for a couple of days and release her into the same neighborhood.
My question is will she ever display/show the same kind of trust in me or will she avoid and be afraid of me? Can someone throw some light?
Thanks for any suggestions!
