A Grey squirrel that I rehabbed comes back and is extremely friendly with me,he actually never left. I can touch him manipulate him pretty much do whatever I want once I let him warm up except winter then he is aggressive and does not want to be touched at all but will come and sit on me and play.I take care of him very well and he is very healthy.100%free of parasites and flea’s.My question is when he sheds in the summer his front half of his body’s fur is short for summer and his rear half is still long but beautiful like winter’s length. The best way to describe it is it looks like somebody took a buzzer to half of his body and stoped shaving him.The hair doesn’t come out when brushed or tugged but he does fully shed all of his hair for the seasons. The pattern is the same every year for the last two years. It’s not mange it’s not fleas, takes chinchilla dust baths. I can pick through his fur for hours. He falls asleep when I do it I can even clean his ears with enough time.he is treated for fleas.winter his fur is all the same length long for the winter. The hair of the threshold is actually black.looks like a black line drawn around his body.not wondering if it’s dangerous just wondering why he wouldn’t change half his fur.
