Hello!
A family member was looking for her solar lights in her gardening shed when she found a pinky in the box! There was only one and we searched the entire shed for a nest with no luck. I brought the little guy home and set up the “perfect setup for a baby squirrel” from Henry’s online baby squirrel care guide. I even put my daughters “heart beat” machine from her huggie pup in with the little guy.
I stimulated baby with a warm q-tip and a greenish yellow fluid came out (urine? Feces?) I then proceeded to use a 3/10 cc insulin syringe to feed some very warm honey water to baby (it kept nuzzling its head and opening its mouth on the blanket it was snuggled in while I slowly would drop a single drop for it to taste). Mixture was 1tbsp homemade clover honey (from neighbour with bee hive) to one cup of water.
My question is in regards to the formula. The family member cannot locate goats milk. But instead she purchased the Esbilac puppy milk replacer powder. Can this be fed to the pinky?
I am not sure how to post photos of this little guy for you to see
