help squirrell with very bad red area on left leg limping horribly

Female squirrell been treating it for mange. Came to my door today for her food. Non weight bearing on left hind leg. VERY swollen and red. I got a trap from a local wildlife rehabber. How can i catch her? She looks miserable. Any advice welcomed. I am putting peanut butter on walnuts grapes will try again in the morning. She hasnt been back today.

Make sure you cover up the trap once you've got her as this lowers stress. Keep her away from pets and children prior to transport, and away from noise.

Contact the rehabber for further instructions if you haven't already to let them know she may be carrying young. .
