Does anybody know which vitamin K is for squirrels? I am the owner of peanut. She is still in the woods. I need to get some vitamin K for the bloodshot eyes. If anybody could give me the correct vitamin and the dosing I can start it today

I’m sorry, but I have searched the Wild Mammal Baby book and can’t find any information about dosing Vitamin K. I do know that Vitamin K helps with the clotting of blood but I’m not sure how it would help with eye redness unless you feel the redness is due to some type of bleeding somewhere.

I cannot find any definitive information online about administering Vitamin K. I did read that experts suspect that Vitamin K2 is more readily absorbed because it is found in animal products and Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin. With that said, I think you should be careful how much you give as it can be stored in the fat in the body.

I hope someone who’s more familiar with using Vitamin K will jump in to help.

Vitamin K1 (Phytonadione). Post the strength of the tabs / caps you get / have.
