I have 3 baby fox squirrels. I have raised several grey but never foxes. Can someone please post a feeding chart/routine?
They appear to be about about 3 weeks old. Very healthy. Peeing and pooping. Im doing EPR, giving them 3 ml every 4 hours. I may need to adjust that. Thanks in advance.

There is a chart that Spanky posts often which he calls a “feeding cheat sheet”. In the meantime, I don’t think the feeding routine is different between Fox squirrels and grays. The amount is still based on 5-7% of their weight at each feeding. At 3 weeks old they should eat about 6 times a day and the night feeding can be discontinued.

Without knowing the weight of your babies I can’t tell you if the 3ml is enough or too much per feeding.

I found the cheat sheet!!!. Here’s the link https://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=324252&d=1677673701

And here’s another helpful bit of info. https://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=324254&d=1677673725

Thanks yo so much Mel! I just want to add a few comments (as always!) and that is the Baby Squirrel should ordinarily be weighed only once each day The best time to weigh is usually first thing in the morning before the first feeding of the day and ensure that an accurate weight is obtained. Then adjust the amount of each feeding to be 5% to 7% in milliliter (cc's) or the weight which will be in Grams. As an example, if your Squirrel would weigh 40 Grams, you would multiple 40 by 0.05 (that is the multiplier for 5%) to get 2 milliliters. Each feeding that day would consist of 2 milliliters (or cc's which are essentially the same as milliliters). Again, do NOT weigh before each feeding, weigh only once per day at the same time each day and it makes good sense to weigh first thing each day before the first feeding of the day. I'll also offer my opinion (but I want qualify it to some extent and mention that I am no where close to being a "big-time" rehabber and there are many on TSB who have far more of an experiential database than I so their commentary would be very welcome) in regard to volume of each feeding and that to maybe start at the 5% end but just as you and the Baby become used to the feedings, increase the volumes to transition toward higher volumes with the goal being volumes at or close to 7% and not continue with feeding volumes toward the low end of 5%. It is essential to use a small (no larger than a 1 milliliter [cc]) syringe, go drop by drop, hold the baby upright, ideally use a nipple made for this purpose such as the Miracle Nipple, point the tip of the nipple toward the roof of the Squirrel's mouth and once again, go slow-drop by drop. Also, babies usually need to be stimulated after each feeding to pee and poop! Here is another link that offers some very good and concise information and recommendations from Henry's: https://henryspets.com/3-how-to-feed-a-baby-squirrel/

Thanks for yalls replies. I’ve finally got their intake increased a little bit dependent on their size. 😊

Thanks for your update! Did you get to Henry's website for added information? Are you weighing daily? What are you using for formula. How are your Babies doing?
