How long does it take for the bone to come off of a degloved tail?

It's been 2 days since my rescue squirrels tail was degloved and am wondering how long before the exposed bone will fall off?

Often the squirrel will remove the bone themselves after a few days. However, it may take quite a while if they do not chew it off... but I am not sure I have ever seen one with a degloved tail for more than 7 days or so... I suspect they chew it off more often than not, JMO.
