Black squirrel with bald patches sleeping outside uncovered

Like the title says, we are very worried because it is after sunset during a winter storm and he seems to be trying to curl up and get warm. He has been in the same spot for about 3 hours now and keeps changing positions. We are not sure if we should approach the squirrel to give them nuts/supplements. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you have a cat carrier and fleece, that would be very helpful to the poor guy. He should not be on the ground. Where in Ontario are you? We can see if we know anyone who could help.
Until.then, if you could get him into the carrier and inside he will need warmth.

We are in Mississauga, he is currently on the top of a wooden fence and seems to be biting it when he isn't curled up. We don't have a cat carrier but will put out fleece and hopefully he takes it, trying not to spook him so he doesn't run

I would offer him a box with any kind of fleece inside that he can borrow into... Scarf, sweatshirt, whatever. Not towels, they snag their claws in the loops. Offer nuts and maybe some grapes or apple.

If you can catch him I can take him in. I’m in Mississauga and have lots of experience with squirrels.
