I have a 8 year old squirell that has a cyst or tumour on her neck. I can not bring her to a vet because Massachusetts won't allow it. And wildlife rehabilitatators can't help domesticated squirells. I will need to put her down to make it so she doesn't suffer. What is the best way to do that?

Can you photograph the lump so we can see what you are dealing with? If it is an abscess of some kind it is likely that you can take care of the situation yourself. How long has it been there, and did it come up quickly or over time?
I assume you would rather try to fix her than euthanize her if you can...?

I can try and get a picture it has ruptured so it's not easy to see. It appeared fast it's only been about 2 days. And yes of course if she can be saved I will. It's just hard in mass not much help.

The fact that it has already opened and drained is WONDERFUL!!! That means it is an abscess, and an abscess is very good news! The fact that it came up fast also says abscess. All of that is good. Please try to get a pic ASAP.
I strongly suggest you go to the drug store and buy a bottle of Betadyne solution. It will be with the wound care stuff. It is in a squeeze bottle and it looks like a bottle full of blood because it is povidone iodine. If they have a store brand, get that and save a couple $$.
You put 1/4 teaspoon of the betadyne in 1/4 cup water and use it to wipe and clean the area, and if it is oozing, see if you can push more infection out. It does not burn or sting at all. Just leave the area wet with the solution when done and allow it to dry.

If it’s an abscess it is completely curable. Do you have any antibiotics? Call around to family and friends and let us know what you find. Pills for humans are fine. We can help you break the medicine down and dose it, if she needs it. You’ll also need a weight on your squirrel.
