My little guy likes them either way. Remember to check the cage daily for any stashed food.
What kind of squirrel do you have and how old?

We’re looking after 2 separate girl reds we rescued, Chippy is 7-8 months and coco is 4 months. I’ll post some pics

Mine will eat them either way but I usually just set them on counter for 10 minutes and they are defrosted 👍
Not sure if microwave would cause then to have less vitamins 🤷

They both love to chew on wood, our wood shelves, bookcases, etc. But their favorite is fresh maple branches and spruce boards. I buy fresh 2x4s and run them through my planer to get soft wood chips for their bedding. And give them A piece to chew on… Chippy can pick up the end of this piece with her teeth…
